Starting an LT Engine Swap in a G35 with CD009 Transmission
Welcome back! Jordan from G Force Performance
Today we’re going to talk about one of our new projects. This is an Infinity G35. As you may know we have adapter kits to bolt LS engines to the Nissan transmissions—300zx transmission, a 350z transmission, and a Frontier transmission. All of them are manual 5 or 6 speeds.
This car actually has a CD009 6-speed manual transmission in it currently, which is also referred to as a Z33 transmission. And, we’re going to do an engine swap on this car.
The engine we chose was an LT engine, the Gen Vs. This is one of the new direct injected engines and they are becoming more and more popular.
We currently do have a transmission adapter for the LT, and this is going to be one of our debuts for that transmission adapter. In the process we’re going to develop motor mounts for the LS and the LT to put into a 350z or a G35. Along with transmission mount, and other swap components for this car.
