1979-2004 Mustang Subframe Connectors | SSM-1402-BLK

I installed these on my ultra low mileage survivor because there was absolutely no way I was taking a welder to the pristine underside of my car. These bolted right up and provide a ridiculous amount of rigidity to the sloppy fox body. Make sure your springs/shocks are in good shape otherwise you’ll be bouncing all over the place; yes these subframe connectors provide that much rigidity.

A couple of things not mentioned in the instructions. 1) you might need to loosen/remove the passenger side downpipe in order to get the nut plate into position 2) if your torque boxes are in factory condition(mine were) you may need to SLIGHTLY massage them in order to get the connectors to sit flush and line up with the bolt holes. Took me about 5 minutes with a block of wood and a hammer.

All that being said, don’t let anyone tell you that weld in subframe connectors are the only way to go. These things are the real deal!

When I was shopping for subframe connectors for my foxbody Mustang, I ran across all the usual brands. I watched tons of different videos on the internet about them all including talking about their pros and cons. I heard all the lectures about how serious people only use weld ins and bolt on connectors are a joke. Then I ran across these bolt on subframe connectors by chance when digging through the bowels of the internet and say how much stronger and well made they are. They bolt into existing holes in the strong parts of the chassis. There is no butchering up your subframe rails drilling holes or welding on them, I decided to order these and give them a try. Wow, what a difference. My chassis is stiff now, the handling and ride are much improved. No more foxbody squeaks and rattles. I just don't understand why more people do not use these or know about these excellent subframe connectors. I highly recommend them. Especially if you are like me and have a low milage survivor car that is in excellent shape and are not wanting to mangle up your subframe rails drilling holes or welding. I wanted to share this review to let my fellow foxbody owners know that there is not a catch, these are a really excellent product even though they are not the first ones you hear about.

These sub frame connectors are unbelievable. They are so strong it is like bolting on a full frame. beautiful finish, high quality welds and perfect fit on my 2000 New edge mustang. They make all the other bolt on sub frame connectors look flimsy when compared side by side. Worth Every Penny !!
