- Our "build it yourself" crossmember kit is designed to accommodate most GM frames that utilize frame rails for crossmember attachment.
- The RCKIT can be used for other manufacturer vehicles but will require modification to accommodate the associated transmission mount pattern. This kit is designed for the early GM 2-stud pattern on 1-1/2” center.
- This kit requires the installer to have cutting and welding capabilities.
- The maximum overall length of the combined components is 61" across.
- The Kit includes:
- (2) Exhaust Cutouts 8" outer width, 7" inner width
- (2) Frame Rail mounting angles 2" x 2"
- (1) 32" length of tubing
- (1) 13" Slotted Center Tube- underside of tubing has an access pocket to allow ease of transmission mount installation
- (1) Transmission Mount Washer Plate
- (1) Optional Transmission Mounting Tab

This crossmember is installed with the G Force label facing the rear of the vehicle. However, another determining feature is the crossmember center tube which has a 1/2″ drain slot that is positioned on the bottom and on the passenger side next to the hump weldment.
This crossmember is installed so that the exhaust clearance humps are closed on the top and open on the bottom.
To use the provided 7/16″ hardware it is necessary to enlarge holes in your frame rails with a 1/2″ drill. If you choose to use the stock size 3/8″ hardware, it is strongly recommended to use new Grade #8 fasteners to compensate.
